battle of the courses! - 1st term
so what exactly is this? simply put, battle of the courses! is going to be a series about the courses i'm taking in university and how i feel about them. there aren't going to be any actual battles or rankings here lol
i recently started my second term, so time for me to start this series with what i did last term! (ordered from most to least enjoyed)
- computer programming - i had lots of fun here, both during lectures and at the labs! admittedly we only did c at a pretty accessible level but i still learned a lot of stuff in addition to our high school computer science classes. our final exam was split in two parts: a quiz where nobody could score big lol, and a practical part. my partical part went very badly and i had to retake it, but now i got a max score in it!
- calculus - limits are giving me quite a hard time, but other than that i loved this course. we'll continue with some calculus this term and we're doing the seminar with our 1st term prof! he's pretty cool
- foreign language (english) - an extremely easy class (but the difficulty depended on the professor you were placed under) and fun! the lecturer is a sweetheart and i'm also taking english with her this term
- linear algebra - this one definitely gave me more of a headache compared to calc, but it was decent. i really slacked off during classes and did an awful job on the seminar test/midterm. before our final exam though i worked a lot and got a very high grade, and also found it fun once i understood all that stuff! i also loved falling asleep during these lectures (and sometimes the seminar too)
- logic and discrete structures - this class was pretty chill and the prof was funny and we went along well. the final exam here was a quiz, and just like with computer programming, it was hard, but i passed with flying colors!
- mechanical engineering - a LOT of material for this course, and all of it we had to write down ourselves during lectures. it's basically a more specialized physics so naturally i had to struggle a bit here. at least the professors were understanding!
- physics - the worst course this term. i was already bad with physics for some reason so this course was unwelcoming for me. despite this i managed to pass on the first try! but my grade here is the lowest out of all the others...
